I went to college in 1999. We had to make various websites using all the new things we'd learned in html... Mine was about NoFX and Rancid... So, I can only imagine how many Punk and Metal geocities-esque websites there are out there, lost to time. The tutor loved it, and basically gave me top marks. Fucking 90s, eh?

Here’s two fun facts about the Creepypasta. 1: Red was inspired by the author asking himself “what if Giygas was a kaiju,” which I think makes an _uncomfortable_ amount of sense. 2: The author got so many complaints about the ending that he wrote an alternate version where, during the final battle, Red transforms into John Madden. Most people agree (with varying degrees of seriousness) that this is superior to the canon ending.
